Eating at Patty's!!!

This was easily the most exciting part of our St. Patrick's Weekend! We went to this burger joint in downtown Chicago (aka "The Loop"). The burger joint is called "Patty Burger" and I loved it. The food was greasy and good. The feel of the place was this kick-back to the 50's. It was retro orange and silver with all of the posters of pin-up girls. It was awesome! Not to mention the name! I hope Patti sees this and she smiles! Here are my pics of the wonder of Patty Burger's!

Auto show

We went to the Auto Show about a month ago and we saw all of the new cars coming out. Plus we saw a life-sized model of Bumble-Bee...the yellow car from the Transformers movie. Very cool stuff. Mark was for sure more excited about being there than I was, but it was cool nonetheless. Enjoy the pics.

Here is the Ferrari California...very cool. This was one of the few display models that they wouldn't allow anyone to sit in...and they took it one step further and you couldn't even go within 15 feet of it.
This is either a '57 or a '63 Corvette. It was one of about 20 older model cars there. Very interesting to see what the image of style was then compared to what it is now.

This was a new Mercedes model. I'm not too sure what the model was...but it retails for $500,000. Another one of the display models you couldn't sit in.

This is the new Corvette. Crazy how they have come in 50ish years!!!

And here is Bumble-Bee. Big and impressive. I love that movie. Too bad he wasn't robotic too! I would have totally asked for an autograph.

St Patrick's day parade

We went to the St. Patrick's Day parade in downtown Chicago on the 15th...it was the oddest parade I've ever been to. It's just like a small-town parade in a huge city. There were about eleventy-billion "floats" where it was just random local groups that the majority of people there have never heard of. It was truly a sight. We took a few pictures of the fun stuff...and here they are for your enjoyment. Although I will say the best part of the parade was there was Bozo the Clown on one of the floats! How cool is that?!?!

Here is Ronald McDonald and his rediculously big inflatable shoe.
HERE'S BOZO!!! HOW UNREAL IS THIS?!?!

An actual roaring dino. It was super crazy.

Mmmm...mmmm...mmmm. Beer.

A crazy green man. No clue what the purpose of him is, but he was all green.

Yesterday's drama

So for the 7 people that read my blog there may be 2 or 3 that haven't heard of the drama from yesterday. It all started on Sunday when my man and I did the dirrty. He was excited cuz I'm preggers and doing the dirrty has become as common occurance as seeing a real life UFO touch down in our front yard. However, the next morning I found blood in my underwear. I found it about an hour before my doctor's office opened. So I had an hour to kill before I called to see if it was serious enough to warrant my absolute stress...or if I needed to chill out a little. I had no clue what caused it, I just knew I didn't like it. So I call Lindsea and Brittney for their infinate wisdom. Britt got the worst of it for sure. I broke down and cried for at least a minute before she could understand what I was saying. I had a doctor's appointment that afternoon anyway, but I wasn't going to wait until then if something was wrong. So I called the doc and they seemed concerned, they told me to eat something sugary so I could get little Baby Mathews moving around and if I didn't feel him within an hour to give them a call back. I had some juice...he moved...I was relieved. Bottom line...no more nasty with the hubby...it's too stressful!

So I kept my original appointment and went in for my check up. And the results of the check-up were all good. I am not anemic, nor do I have gestational diabetes. Woo Hoo!!! My belly measured 29 inches which is average (keep in mind average is such a great word to me right now...I do not want an 8 1/2 pound baby coming out of me.) His heart rate was great and we're all healthy and happy.
